Vespolina Ricardo della Zoina- 2004

  • Colour and Bouquet: intense red colour, with fine spicy notes and red berries flavours, the taste is dry, harmonious with very fine tannins.

    Vine: Vespolina 100%.

    Vineyard: 4,700 sqm. planted in 2001 with a density of 5.000 plants/hectare. Exposure South, altitude 300 metres above sea level. Sandy melted ground.

    Pruning: Guyot with a load of 30.000 gems/ha

    Yield: for the 2004 harvest the yield per hectare has been of 6,5 tons and the yield grape-wine of 58%.

    Wine-making: fermentation in steel tanks at constant temperature of 24/25°, with a maceration of eight days and malolactic fermentation in steel.

    Aging: twelve months in barrique, five months in steel and at least six months in bottle.

    Date of bottling: May. 13 2006.


    Actual alcoholic strength of 13.50% v.

    Total acidity of 5,70 g/l.

    Total sulphur dioxide content of 48 mg/l.

    Production: n° 2.620 bottles 750 ml.

    Serving temperature: 18°

    Potential aging: 5-8 years

    Wines produced in our cellar are not filtered therefore we recommend to decant as they may be resent natural dregs.
